Successful adoption of a new system is based on that everyone understand the benefits of working in a new way. That’s why we’ve created the quests below - to help you understand better what new ways Office 365 offer. Go through on these quests, try to solve them, and discover the new features of Office 365.

 

Quest #1 - Personalize Office 365

Discover personalization possibilites in Office 365:

 

- find and setup your profile
- upload a profile picture
- customize your Office 365 theme
- set up your signature both in Outlook and Outlook Web App
- find the way how you can set an out of office message in Outlook

Quest #2 - Start using OneDrive

Migrate your personal files from P: drive to OneDrive, and try document/folder sharing possibilities of OneDrive.

Quest #3 - Skype for Business basics

Skype for Business is a powerful collaboration tool in Office 365, where you get everything you need for conversations in one app: chat messaging, audio- and video calls, online meetings and sharing. This quest contains 2 parts to show you how easily it can be used for collaboration.

 

Part #1:

Open and review our Skype for Business training

 

Part #2:

Find and add an Office 365 user colleague to your contact list, then start a Skype meeting, and:

- record the meeting

- share your desktop during the meeting

 

Note that Skype for Business was formerly called as Lync. If the desktop Office apps were installed to your office computer before 2015, you may find it under this name.

Quest #4 - Discover document versioning

OneDrive’s automatic document versioning means that revisions to your files and their properties are stored. This enables you to better manage content as it is revised and even to restore a previous version — for example, if you make a mistake in the current version. Versioning is especially helpful when several people work together on projects, or when information goes through several stages of development and review.

 

Discover how document versioning works in Office 365:

 

- Create a new Word document in your OneDrive

- Edit it both in Word Online and in the desktop Word

- Check the different version numbers both in the OneDrive web app and in the desktop Word

- Compare the most recent and a previous version of your document, starting both from the OneDrive web app and from the desktop Word

- Try to restore the previous version, check how it affects the version numbers

Quest #5 - Excel surveys

Surveys let other people fill out your list—like a sign-up sheet or questionnaire—where you can see it all in one place online. In OneDrive for Business, you can create a survey that others fill out just by opening the link you provide. You’ll see everyone’s response compiled in one online spreadsheet.

 

- Create a new excel survey with at least three questions where you expect different type of answers (text, choice, date or time)
- Save the survey and try how it can be edited later
- Share the survey, collect some answers and see how these can be tracked

Quest #6 - Yammer

Yammer is Office 365's private social network site. You can start conversations, collaborate on files, and organize groups about different topics.

 

Complete this quest by the followings:

 

- Edit your Yammer profile

- Review your notification settings

- Find „Company resources" section of the group page

- Check the 'Getting started' page

- Try the Facegame app :)

Quest #7 - Delve

Office Delve surfaces personalized content to you from across Office 365, it helps you discover the information that's likely to be most interesting to you right now. You don't have to remember the title of a document or where it's stored, Delve shows you documents no matter where they're stored in OneDrive for Business or in Sites in Office 365. Delve never changes any permissions, so you'll only see documents that you already have access to. Other people will not see your private documents.

 

Explore Delve:

 

- Find your profile in Delve

- Find a document you were recently working on, and which is stored in your OneDrive

- Look for a document that is already shared with you by searching for the person in Delve who shared it with you
